By Grace you’ve been Saved

Gratia Church had morning service on June 4th and Pastor Thomas shared the Word of God from Ephesians 2:1-10 through online. It was about how they were made alive in Christ Jesus from the sinful life by the great mercy of God.

8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

We need to mediate this great grace of God upon our lives and share this light of God’s grace and love, the message of the gospel to the people in this world.

He said, “Before we were called by God, we were ugly sinners and under God’s wrath. We were following the evil spirit as we were disobedient to God. But with the great mercy and love, God called us and saved us by Jesus Christ and we repented. It was not that we were saved when we were living the righteous life before God, but God showed His grace and mercy to us, so He accepted us, the sinners. It is the same way in the parable of the prodigal son when the second son came back home, his father didn’t criticize him nor punish him for his sins, but he accepted him and brought the son back to his place.”

There is no righteousness in us but in God, so we shouldn’t boast about ourselves but should have the grateful heart toward God’s grace. We should not go back to the past sinful way of life, but we need to live a new righteous life so that we can please God who gave this grace.
